WHAT THE?

Phoenix Children’s Hospital has gone to the dogs!

THE DOWNLOAD

At Phoenix Children’s Hospital therapy dogs bring smiles and brighten days. A team of dogs take turns visiting about 20 to 50 patients each day. The pups lend a paw to brighten not only patients’ but doctors’, nurses’ and families’ days. The dogs are required to be groomed the day before they visit the hospital, then a pet therapy escort guides the dogs throughout their visits and schedule for the day. After a patient spends time with a dog, they wash their hands and carry on with the rest of their care.
