The Arizona State Fair opens today!
The Arizona State Fair runs from Oct. 6 through Oct. 29. This year, the fair will feature new attractions, rides and food vendors!
1. Admission Deals
The Arizona State Fair gives you different opportunities to save money on admission. It’s only $5 on Saturdays and Sundays if you come before 2 p.m. Also, if you spend $50 at Fry’s through Oct. 27, you will receive two free general admission adult tickets on the back of your receipt. Those tickets can be redeemed on Fridays between noon and 6 p.m.
There are plenty of A-list acts scheduled to perform at the Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum this year. The headliners include Gary Allan, DNCE, Billy Currington, Jake Miller, Snoop Dogg, Marilyn Manson and Rick Springfield. A blend of pop, rock, hip-hop and country music performances will sweep the stage all throughout the month of October.
3. New Food
Nine new food vendors will be at the Arizona State Fair this year. One of the new vendors, called the Popcorn Factory, will have 50 flavors of gourmet popcorn! Drink a Fruit From A Fruit has a more exotic approach. This vendor will have fruit-flavored drinks served in the fruit’s shell. You can also get your seafood fix at Baja Lobster. This vendor will be serving lobster mac and cheese, lobster dogs and lobster fries!
4. Dragon Attraction
Explore the mystical world of dragons this year at the Arizona State Fair. This interactive attraction is making its grand debut. There are life-sized, fire-breathing, smoke-snorting animatronic creatures that will keep you amazed. This attraction is only $5 with fair admission.
5. New Ferris Wheel
The La Grande Wheel XL will light up the whole fair with half-million LED lights and climate-controlled cabins to ride in. This new attraction will tower over the other attractions and have a beautiful view of the fair grounds.
6. Taste of The Fair
Sample the Arizona State Fair’s signature food items, rides and games for only $2 until 7 p.m. every Friday. The Taste of the Fair makes it affordable for everyone to get a taste of what’s hot at the fair.
