The next logical step when your flight is canceled is to book a flight on the next one, right? Not for these baseball players who needed to get to Albuquerque, N.M. for a minor league baseball game. Seattle Mariners Prospect D.J. Peterson shared pitcher Mark Lowe’s Instagram photo of the seven-hour Uber Ride from Phoenix, Ariz. to Albuquerque at 2:55 a.m., a ride that cost $683.52. The four players are Relief pitcher Mark Lowe, infielder D.J. Peterson, first baseman Dan Vogelbach and pitcher Pat Light, who plays for the Tacoma Rainers.
Lowe said the prospects booked through American Airlines, and that he was “completely let down, again.” American Airlines responded to the tweet
Of course, Lowe gave the Uber driver, Hemant, a five-star rating.
