Local Authors Await Critically Acclaimed Debuts


Two Phoenix authors await critically-acclaimed debuts.

Mindy Taurquini and Emily Brett both anxiously await they debuts of their Fall 2016 novels that could essentially out Phoenix on the map. Taurquini is a literary magazine editor for Lascaux Review and author of Hindsight, a novel about a woman who can remember all of her past lives as she struggles to deal with her present life. Her new novel has received praise from numerous national media outlets including Publisher’s Weekly. Brett is a nurse practitioner and author of the critically-acclaimed novel Found, a novel about an ICU nurse and her journey across the globe as she struggles to cope with internal demons. We don’t want to give too much away!

Both authors will be having book launch events in the Valley next week. Tarquini will be at Changing Hands in Downtown Phoenix on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m., and Brett will be at the Stonegate Community Center in Scottsdale on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.
