John McCain tweets that he’ll be back in Washington D.C. after being diagnosed with brain cancer.
Sad news for Sen. John McCain, the Republican Senator from Arizona has been diagnosed with primary glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer. The diagnosis came after McCain underwent a procedure to remove a blood clot near his left eyebrow. Friends and colleagues say the former prisoner of war isn’t backing down from this battle. McCain tweeted for the first time since the diagnosis, saying his colleagues in Congress should expect him to return to Washington D.C.
McCain has received support from across the nation and here in Arizona.
McCain is recovering from the procedure at his home in Arizona.
