America’s friendliest airport is getting even friendlier with the help of some furry volunteers.
Therapy dogs have been added to the volunteer staff at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport in an effort to help ease the stresses of travel on passengers. The Navigator Buddies are a collection of therapy dogs from around the valley who will volunteer their time in a once-weekly in two-hour shifts at the airport. The dogs will be around to greet passengers before and after security while their companions will be able to answer basic traveler questions. This program comes after ones like it have been successful at other airports across the US and Canada.
