Award-winning actress Diane Keaton acquired one of the oldest adobes in the Barrio Viejo neighborhood.
The neighborhood, located in Tucson, Ariz., is known for being historic, gentrifying and quaint.
With exposed adobe and mud-plastered interior walls, the house has all the rustic charm one could dream of. It is 4,572 square feet, has 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and is estimated to be from the late 1800s.
Although Keaton does not plan to live in the $1.5 million hous, she does hope to fix it up and resell it.
“I bought a Barrio property there, and I’m really excited,” she said to Jimmy Kimmel on his show last May. “I’m going to redo that and fix the adobe,” she added. “I just love Tucson.”
The house, which had a one-bedroom guesthouse previously available for rent on AirBnB, was owned by writers Kathe Lison and Chris Cokinos. They bought the property in 2014 for $330,000, and it took two years to renovate.
Keaton is familiar with buying and selling several multi-million homes in some of the most famous zip codes. A few of her previous customers include Madonna, Ryan Murphy and Christina Ricci.
