PHOENIX- Amazon has announced that they will be creating a new store format for a grocery store. The company posted four job openings Monday for a different type of grocery store, as an alternative to Whole Foods and its cashier-less Amazon Go store.

Amazon plans to launch the new store in California in 2020.

As described in the job posting for by Amazon, the store will be located in Woodland Hills, California.

“Join us as we launch Amazon’s first grocery store in Woodland Hills. We are passionate about creating a shopping experience that customers will love. If you are customer-obsessed, like learning new things, and want to contribute to end-to-end store operations for a new business, this is the place for you!”

It is rumored that the store will be located inside of a former Toys “R” Us that is nearly 35,000 square feet.

Whole Foods fans, don’t worry, an Amazon spokesperson told CNET that Amazon will proceed with grocery delivery from Whole Foods.

“When it comes to grocery shopping, we know customers love choice, and this new store offers another grocery option that’s distinct from Whole Foods Market, which continues to grow and remain the leader in quality natural and organic food”

Amazon has not confirmed if they will open more stores beyond the Woodland Hills location.
