Viva PHX Is Back

How does a music festival featuring over 65 bands and 15 venues all within walking distance of each other sound to you? And here’s the kicker, it costs just $22.

That’s right, Viva PHX music festival is back and ready to wow. The festival comes to downtown Phoenix next Saturday, March 12 and it’s going to be a good one. The city basically shuts down for the evening and almost everywhere that can be a music venue, is one.

This year’s headliners include Crystal Castles, The Growlers, Neon Indian and Rocket from the Crypt. It will also include local favorites Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra, Playboy Manbaby and The Technicolors. You can see a full list of performers on the Viva PHX website.

Some of the venues you’ll be hopping between are CityScape (they shut down part of Central Avenue and everyone parties in the street), Phoenix Masonic Temple (this one’s a doozy, very warm and…cozy), Punk Rock Alley (literally an alley between Central and First Avenues) and Lucha Libre Stage (yes, like Mexican wrestling Lucha Libre).

Tickets are on sale now so grab yours before it’s too late, prices will rise as the event gets closer. You can also purchase a $45 fast pass, which will earn you early entry to the venues.
