No instruments. No backing tracks. No lip syncing. Just vocals.

That’s what a cappella music is all about. And if you’ve seen Pitch Perfect, then maybe you’ve heard of the Varsity Vocals International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, the competition featured in the hit movie. The ICCA executive director is a judge in one of the scenes and some of the real-life competitors are seen, too.

On Saturday February 27 at 7pm, you can experience it for yourself. The ICCA comes to ASU’s Gammage Auditorium for the Southwest Quarterfinals showcasing a cappella groups from ASU, U of A and NAU.

These groups include Amplified A Cappella, ASU Pitchforks, ASU TEMPEtations, Dolce Voces, Northern Arizona Unaccompanied, Noteriety A Cappella, Priority Male, The Axecidentals, The Devil Clefs and The Highlanders.

The two groups that come out on top will advance to the ICCA Southwest Semifinal in Los Angeles.
Tickets are on sale now and start at only $20.
