Arizona Humane Society Rescues Dog With Massive Tumor

Talk About A Transformation! Rescued
Boxer is Ready for Adoption

Meet Gus. The Arizona Humane Society saved this six-year-old Boxer-mix after he was found roaming a South Phoenix neighborhood. Rescue workers believe it may have been because someone couldn’t afford to get him the medical care that he desperately needed. Gus had a 3 1/2 pound infected tumor hanging from his neck.Veterinarians worried that surgery could be dangerous for Gus, because of his age. But they just couldn’t say no to a dog who was full of life. Gus was given a second chance. Just two weeks after being found all alone, a healthy Gus is ready to be adopted. He’s house-trained, great with kids, and full of energy!
